So today I was delivering a package to a customer's house and 👁 see a Praying Mantis just chillin on their gate as I go to open it. (This is so rare for me, never paid any attention to things like this until now, since hearing Rashad Jamal's lectures). Normally I'm quick to smush anything moving but after learning about who we are, I just opened the gate real slow so it wouldn't crawl away and I talked to it. I bent low to get a good, up close look (first time ever) at this praying mantis, I never felt so connected to an insect in that moment.. so vibrant green just glowing in our sun. 👁 kid ya'll not, I looked it right in its 👁's... I could swear like a mf that this little critter tilted its head to the side one good time as if to say..."Don't 👁 know you?" It must've been this Cali heat cause man I swear I did a double take ...
