the idea is to invite your WISE BENEVOLENT ancestors and be guided by them. there should be a definitive feeling like "this being, whoever it is, is wise and benevolent". feelings are important, if you aren't very aware of your feelings do more meditation before attempting this kind of thing. STANDARD OFFERINGS for invitation: 1. lights 2. incense 3. pure water charged with energy 4. mantras(from you or video/recording) 5. flowers 6. cleansing your own body and personal spaces 7. reading some kind of sacred text they also may have read 8. pleasing attitude energy, like joy or happiness etc.

Sorry I,d say you do what you feel like doing with the knowing that whatever or however you do it you,re being guided by them. Youâre the Ancestors only in this physical form having a physical experience. Weâre here to create and experience. Meditate on this for awhile till you get your answer
